Description

Improved Distance & Trajectory Control
Introduced in SM6, refined in SM7, and reimagined in SM8. The center of gravity (CG) has been pushed forward, which produces higher MOI. Using tungsten weights and varied hosel lengths, the Vokey R&D team has moved the CG outside of the wedge head and placed it in front of the face, resulting in increased MOI and exceptional feel. For the golfer, this means optimized ball flight and a club face that simply wants to square up at impact.

SM8 Grinds: The Heart and "Sole" of Versatility
Your swing is unique and requires a unique wedge. Master Craftsman Bob Vokey has spent years crafting, developing, and improving his Tour-proven sole grinds. SM8 features 5 unique sole grids to fit players of all levels.

Progressive Centre of Gravity
SM8 features a reimagined progressive center of gravity, which produces the most accurate and forgiving Vokey wedge yet. The center of gravity (CG) can vary slightly between different lofted wedges, based on the bounce and sole grind of the wedge. This helps to optimize launch windows specific to each loft.

Spin Milled Grooves
SM8 wedge grooves are meticulously engineered through a proprietary Spin Milled process to maximize spin and durability. Each groove is individually cut based on loft and finish; low lofts (46°-54°) are designed with narrower, deeper grooves, while higher lofts (56°-62°) have wider, shallower grooves. Micro-grooves in between grooves maximize spin on partial shots. A proprietary heat treatment is applied to the impact area which doubles the durability of the groove without impacting feel making it the most durable groove in golf.

Shaft Specs

Stock Shafts

True Temper Dynamic Gold is the Gold Standard by which all other iron shafts are measured. It is the most successful shaft in the history of golf and still continues to dominate on professional tours each and every year. Dynamic Gold is a tour-weighted shaft that is designed for players seeking a low, penetrating ball flight for optimum control and accuracy.
True Temper AMT Tour White:AMT Tour White is a tour-weighted option that features the lowest trajectory and spin in the AMT range. AMT Tour White has the same performance DNA as Dynamic Gold and is designed to get progressively heavier as golfers move from their long irons to short irons. Lighter long irons are easier to swing and produce increased speed along with a higher initial launch while the tour-weighted short irons produce the traditional Dynamic Gold accuracy, consistency and trajectory that is desired from your scoring clubs. AMT stands for Ascending Mass Technology, which means the shaft’s weight increases in 3-gram increments throughout the set, while the balance point is adjusted so that the swing weight of each club is consistent to standard Dynamic Gold.
True Temper AMT Tour White is designed for players with a moderate tempo, looking for a low trajectory and spin.
KBS Tour Steel: The KBS TOUR is Kim Braly’s signature shaft and is ideal for players desiring shot versatility and mid trajectory. Incorporating unique KBS technology, the KBS TOUR maximizes energy transfer for increased shot control. The KBS TOUR offers a smooth, responsive feel and is the preferred model by several of the best golfers in the world.
Compared to Dynamic Gold, the KBS Tour offers 5% lower trajectory, 5% less spin and 5% more distance. KBS Tour offers greater stability, playability and feel.
Project X Steel:  Project X iron shafts are trusted by the best players in the world and are a staple in golf shaft design. Maintaining a stout profile throughout the entire shaft, Project X is a preferred choice by stronger swingers looking for a flat, penetrating ball flight and unmatched stability.Project X Steel is designed for players with a fast tempo, looking for a low trajectory and spin

Exotic Shafts

Nippon N.S Pro Modus 3 120 Steel: Unique development concept designed for control. The N.S. PRO Modus 3 series shafts are popular with touring pros because they offer optimal performance in three key areas. The desired trajectory as a result of the unique structure of a stiff tip section and softer midsection. Accurate distances due to the unique raw steel material and accompanying heat treatment. And tight dispersion coming from the exacting tolerances of the highest quality level. The high-rigidity design of the tip steadies impact to help minimize unwanted spin while creating a stronger trajectory. The low rigidity in the midsection improves shaft control so the player with any tempo can more easily control their shots, while the low but rigidity improves swing tempo and contributes to a comfortable, smoother feeling upon impact.
Nippon N.S Pro Modus 3 130 Steel: The N.S. Pro Modus 3 130 is popular with touring pros because it offers optimal performance in three key areas. The desired trajectory as a result of the unique structure of a stiff tip section and softer midsection. Accurate distances due to the unique raw steel material and accompanying heat treatment. And tight dispersion coming from the exacting tolerances of the highest quality level.
The relatively low rigidity of the tip contributes to high trajectories and moderate speed. Tour spin specifications help you negotiate tough conditions with high trajectories
The high-rigidity design smoothly transfers more of the brute force of your swing, without power loss, while also improving controllability by minimizing shaft wobble.
The increased rigidity of the butt section helps improve the timing of your swing and provide a smoother feeling upon impact.
KBS C-Taper Steel: Low launch, low spin, signature feel. The KBS Tour C-Taper Steel was inspired by Tour player feedback requiring a low piercing trajectory and superior shot control. Packed with signature KBS technology, the KBS C-TAPER shaft maximizes energy transfer, for a crisp feel, while optimizing shaft diameters in the taper and tip areas for low trajectory and spin control. Independent testing proves the C-TAPER shaft to average 5% more distance versus the market leader as well. On Tour, the KBS C-TAPER shaft is preferred by several of the world’s top players who favor shot control and crisp feel.
True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue Steel: Dynamic Gold Tour Issue is the Gold Standard by which all other iron shafts are measured. It is the most successful shaft in the history of golf and still continues to dominate on professional tours each and every year. Dynamic Gold Tour Issue is a tour-weighted shaft that is designed for players seeking a low, penetrating ball flight for optimum control and accuracy. Our Tour Issue shafts hold the industries tightest weight tolerance for the exacting performance demanded by the best players.
Dynamic Gold is designed for players with a moderate tempo, looking for a low trajectory and spin
