Hot Metal Blade Design

Grain Flow Forged 4135 Chromoly Face & Neck (2-8 iron) - consistently 0.2mm thinner across the face. Combined with COR Forged Hollow Body 28.5g Tungsten weight (2-7 iron) to produce a higher, more stable flight and enhanced ball speeds.

Increased Tungsten Weighting

28.5g of Tungsten weight (2-7 iron) helps produce a higher, more stable flight and enhances ball speeds.

Hollow Body COR Construction

A Grain Flow Forged HD 1025E body is laser welded to a hollow construction with a 17-4 back piece. The 1025E Pure select mild carbon steel (in the 9-PW) is stabilized with a 431 steel back weight for precision and a more penetrating flight with the scoring irons.

Soft Copper Underlay

A microlayer of copper beneath Nickel Chrome – for the purest, softest feel made famous in the legendary TN87. Reintroduced in 2018.

Multi-Thickness Cortech Face

A new CORTECH face is consistently 0.2mm thinner across the face than MP-20 HMB. Sound and feel matched to the Mizuno Pro 221 Muscle back

A Blade From Every Angle

The Mizuno Pro 225 packs its high launching performance within a genuine blade looking profile – at address as well as the bag. Even more compact through the set than the original HMB. Especially noticeable in the mid & short irons.

Shaft And Grip Details

Project X IO Steel: The new Project X IO was born from the concept that not all golfers need the same thing from a shaft. While the stronger players require launch and spin reduction to control their ball, many golfers need more launch and spin to help maximize their distances. Project X IO takes the DNA of the popular PXi shaft and evolves it by having each shaft flex designed with a specific weight and trajectory progression in mind. As Project X IO increases in flex, it gets 5g heavier and is geometrically modified to launch lower–providing an individually optimized shaft for each flex. Project X IO is ideal for players who love the stability of Project X but need an easier to load shaft profile and are looking for a lighter weight option.
Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360: The most popular grip in golf today combines an exclusive, state-of-the-art rubber-blend compound, non-slip surface pattern for maximum playability, comfort, and confidence. The Tour Velvet® is the standard upon which many club manufacturers base their grip designs.
