More Distance. Better Gapping
With distance increases of 7-10 yards (compared to G425), and greater stopping power, the addition of a 41° PW has been made to ensure proper gapping options and allowed for standard lofts in the traditional scoring wedges (45.5°, 50°, 54°, 58°). This combined with Retro and Power spec loft options means that golfers have far more flexibility with their iron gapping.
PING AWT 2.0 Steel: PING’s Ascending Weight Technology shafts get heavier from long irons to short irons/wedges. Lighter long-iron shafts help square the clubface. Short iron/wedge shafts are heavier to improve trajectory control and feel.
PING ALTA CB Black: The next generation of PING’s proprietary counter-balanced shaft is lightweight and high-launching while offering more stability and a consistent feel. A counterweight in the grip end helps shift the CG higher, allowing for an increase in energy transfer and momentum, resulting in more ball speed and greater forgiveness.
Ascending Weight Technology produces a lighter long-iron shaft that helps square the clubface, while the short iron/wedge shafts are heavier for trajectory control and feel.
