Mizuno JPX 925 Forged Irons

Mizuno JPX 925 Forged: Boundless innovation, infinite potential

Rounding out the release of the JPX 925 range, the JPX 925 Forged irons bring Mizuno's innovation and craftsmanship with it. The JPX 925 Forged irons combine the famous Mizuno feel with cutting edge technology.

The outcome of this design is an iron that delivers both performance and precision, setting a new standard for forged irons.

Given that Mizuno has opted to not proceed with the JPX Tour line of irons this year, rather release the Mizuno S-3 iron, the JPX 925 Forged sports a slimmer profile with a shorter blade length than its predecessor, offering a more compact shape than the 923 Forged model, whilst maintaining the synonymous JPX look & feel.

JPX 925 Forged - Built for the modern golfer

CORTECH design with a Contour Ellipse Face

The CORTECH design in this iron offers an advanced multi-thickness face, allowing for the gap between the distance of the Mizuno Hot Metal range, and the feel of Mizuno's forged irons, to be bridged.

Essentially, this design optimises ball speed across the entire face, allowing for consistent performance across the club regardless of a centre strike or not. To bring this club to life, Mizuno designed an entirely new construction method in order to achieve the performance and forgiveness that they were striving for.

Grain Flow Forged HD

As is the expectation with Mizuno irons, these JPX 925 forged irons utilise Mizuno's Grain Flow Forged HD process, the result of this forging process is the infamous Mizuno feel and feedback that we expect from a Mizuno iron.

The long irons are made with a Chromoly 4120 for the 4, 5, 6 & 7-irons. This material mixes strength and malleability for unmatched speed and adjustability.

The 8, 9, pw & gw are forged from 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel to ensure precision control and feel.

Triple Cut Sole

Mizuno's Triple Cut Sole (also an addition to the Mizuno S-3 irons), has been made with the goal of improving turf interaction and giving golfers added versatility and playability from varying lies and conditions. The Triple Cut Sole includes:

  • Beveled Leading Edge: Allows the club to glide effortlessly through the turf, ensuring cleaner ball contact.
  • Hard-Cut Trailing Edge: Promotes smooth turf exit, enhancing control and shot-making ability.
  • Optimised Sole Geometry: Tailored to meet the exacting demands of skilled players, offering a balance of versatility and performance.

Two striking finishes

  • Satin Chrome: This is the classic Mizuno look.
  • Forged Black: This is a bold finish which has historically been kept for limited release, now as a standard option in the JPX 925 Forged range.
