3D Iron Fitting Philosophy

80% of Tour pros play a blended set. Titleist’s unique approach to irons is built on the three key factors that define successful iron play for any player: Distance Control, Dispersion Control, and Descent Angle. Each must be optimized for every iron you carry if you want to reach your full playing potential.

Distance Control

We look to maximize carry distance while maintaining an even and consistent 5mph gap in ball speed between clubs. This prevents you from carrying two clubs that do the same job or playing a club with so much distance variance that you can’t play it with confidence.

Dispersion Control

We analyze your shot pattern and compare options to ensure your results fall into the tightest and most predictable range of outcomes possible. The goal here is to make sure your clubs are doing their part in getting you closer to the hole.

Descent Angle

With every iron, you need to consistently launch your ball high enough to bring it down steep enough to hold the green. Many players are surprised to hear that their irons should all ideally reach a similar peak height to produce the descent angles you need to score with every club.

True Temper AMT Red 25: AMT Red is the lightest weight and highest trajectory/spin option in the AMT range. Out of the AMT range, AMT Red maximizes speed and launch most by utilizing a responsive tip design and maintaining a constant superlight weighting in 4-7 irons.
True Temper AMT Black 25: AMT Black is the middle weight option in the AMT range and delivers a mid-high trajectory and spin. Featuring Ascending Mass Technology, AMT Black gets progressively heavier as golfers move from their long irons to short irons.
True Temper AMT Tour Silver 25: AMT Tour Silver is the middle-heavy weight option in the AMT range and delivers a mid trajectory and spin. Featuring Ascending Mass Technology, AMT Silver gets progressively heavier as golfers move from their long irons to short irons. New to 2025, AMT Silver is position between AMT Black and AMT White
True Temper AMT Tour White 25: AMT Tour White is a tour-weighted option that features the lowest trajectory and spin in the AMT range. AMT Tour White has the same performance DNA as Dynamic Gold and is designed to get progressively heavier as golfers move from their long irons to short irons.
Nippon N.S Pro 750 GH Neo: The N.S.PRO 750GH neo, the third model in the "neo" series, is designed to match modern iron heads with advanced features and lightweight construction for easy swinging. This new standard caters to average golfers who prefer lighter drivers but often feel limited in their choice of iron shafts. The evolution of drivers has been remarkable in recent years, with a significant reduction in overall weight. Carbon shafts in the 40-gram range have become the standard for driver shafts. For average golfers who prefer lightweight drivers, the ideal iron shaft weight is around 70 grams. The N.S.PRO 750GH neo, designed with this weight range in mind, offers a new choice that matches the "neo" features with modern iron heads, providing the solid feel and stability of a steel shaft while aligning with ligher weight wood shafts.
Mitsubishi MMT AMC Red: MMT Ascending Mass Concept (AMC) Irons Series unites two powerful Mitsubishi Golf innovations to produce an incredibly versatile and playable iron shaft. The same Metal Mesh Technology in the tip-section as the incredibly successful MMT Taper & Parallel Series first launched in, producing outstanding stability and a playability. Red AMC iron sets feature longer irons that are a consistent light weight, with a 2g ascension beginning 8-iron through the scoring clubs. This gradual increase in weight promotes a smooth progression from faster-swinging, easier-launching long irons to more consistent and controlled short irons. MMT AMC Red Irons are best for players with more moderate swing speeds who want maximum distance and launch from mid and longer irons, with more focused control from their scoring clubs.
Mitsubishi MMT AMC Blue: MMT Ascending Mass Concept (AMC) Irons Series unites two powerful Mitsubishi Golf innovations to produce an incredibly versatile and playable iron shaft. The same Metal Mesh Technology in the tip-section as the incredibly successful MMT Taper & Parallel Series first launched in, producing outstanding stability and a playability. This is combined with a 2g Ascending Mass Concept (AMC) configuration that runs from the longer irons through the scoring clubs. This gradual increase in weight promotes a smooth progression from faster-swinging, easier-launching long irons to more consistent and controlled short irons. MMT AMC Blue Irons are best for players who prefer a midweight shaft and value the versatility of a series that blends longer, easier-launching long irons with consistent, precise scoring clubs.
Titleist Universal 360: The Titleist Universal 360 is engineered with a premium soft rubber compound. With a unique non-slip pattern, the Universal 360 features a continuous uninterrupted grip pattern. The universal 360 has a flat cap end and is the featured grip on the 3rd Gen T-Series irons.
Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 White - Flat Cap: The Tour Velvet 360 features the popular look and feel of the Tour Velvet non-slip surface pattern in a 360-degree design. State-of-the-art rubber-blend compound with a non-slip surface pattern provides maximum playability and confidence.
Golf Pride Muti Compound: The MultiCompound is an innovative hybrid grip that fuses the positive performance of rubber and cord. The MCC boasts the Golf Pride exclusive Brushed Cotton Cord in the upper hand area for firm all-weather control, and a performance rubber material in the lower hand for ultimate feel and responsiveness.
Golf Pride MCC Plus 4: is a tour-proven, hybrid golf grip featuring a larger lower hand and new softer rubber material. The MCC Plus 4 simulates 4 additional wraps of tape on the lower hand to encourage lighter grip pressure, reduced tension, and increased power.
