Universal Sole

Fourteen's signature sole technology is a universal sole that brings ease of use to players, and has been adopted in wedges since DJ-5 model released in 2021. The bumper part of the leading edge, which is the key to its ease of use, provides tolerance for contact conditions with the ball. In addition, the universal sole design provides optimal bounce effect and outstanding forgiveness in the follow-through.

Semi-Goose Neck Shape

The neck shape is finely designed to provide a comfortable address. The semi-gooseneck shape provides better grip on the ball. However, for players who have been accustomed to playing straight-neck wedges, the gooseneck can create an uncomfortable feeling at address. To eliminate the visual discomfort, the neck shape of the FR-5 is designed with a slight curve from the top to the bottom, so that it appears straighter rather than offset.

Quality Systems

The curved shape of the neck is prone to imperfections during the manufacturing process. Fourteen's quality control detects and eliminates even the smallest imperfections. Thanks to the strict QC system, Fourteen has a virtuous cycle that allows for the production of clubs without worrying about the final product precision.

High Spin Mirror Forged Face

Stable spin performance is achieved by combining a high-spin mirror forged face that maximizes the flatness of the face with grooves that are just within the limits of the equipment rules. Lateral laser milling face improves the stability of spin performance, maintaining spin performance from any lies and wet conditions.
