2025 Cobra DS-ADAPT Golf Drivers, Fairways woods & Hybrids
Building off the back of the DarkSpeed range of woods, Cobra are introducing their new family of DS-ADAPT drivers, fairways & hybrids. The eternal question, as it is for all brands, is how to improve upon gains made from previous generations?
The introduction of four driver models, the LS, X, MAX-D & MAX-K, three fairway wood models, LS, X & MAX plus some key adjustability additions have resulted in having a model and setting for every golfer that is looking to ‘dial in (their) game’.
Let’s have a look at some key technologies that the DS-ADAPT range is bringing to 2025…
Key Technologies
FUTUREFIT33 Adjustable Hosel System
This is the most significant and innovative metalwood fitting technology to date. This system allows for 33 unique loft & lie settings that can be adjusted independently for the first time in a COBRA driver. All 33 of these settings are able to be set on the spot which allows for golfers and fitters alike to make adjustments to really allow golfers to dial in their game. These 33 settings are double the closest competitor.
SMARTPAD Technology
This is a sole geometry design from COBRA, this allows for the clubface to remain square when the DS-ADAPT golf club is at address, regardless of the loft or lie setting that is chosen from the FUTUREFIT33 Adjustable Hosel System.
H.O.T Face
Through the use of machine learning, COBRA have created their Highly Optimised Topology (H.O.T) Face. Effectively, their metalwood faces are created at variable thicknesses in different zones to achieve higher ball speeds across more of the face of the club.
Carbon Fibre Crown
Instituting a carbon fibre crown across the DS-ADAPT metalwoods allows for a weight saving in the range. This allows COBRA to redistribute this weight to different areas of the each club, altering the centre of gravity (CG) and allow for adding forgiveness and added distance across each of the DS-ADAPT models.

DS-ADAPT LS Driver
The LS Model features a Tour inspired shape for better players that demand low spin & low launch for max workability & control. A re-engineered PWR-BRIDGE weight in the 9-degree LS head is positioned low & forward for low spin & maximum ball speed. The 10.5-degree driver features no PWR-BRIDGE and repositions the weight to add more spin and launch to the LS model, providing a more playable version of the DS-ADAPT LS driver.
- If you are wanting lower-launch & spin in an LS Driver, the 9-degree is the model for you.
- If you are wanting added launch & spin in an LS Driver, the 10.5-degree is the model for you.
- The FUTUREFIT33 Adjustable Hosel System will allow you to tune each of these models up or down to your liking without any detraction from performance.

DS-ADAPT X Driver
The DS-ADAPT X model is designed to fit a wide range of players, from tour-level right through to higher handicap amateurs alike. This driver features a traditional profile with balanced front & back weighting delivering a great combination of speed & forgiveness. Similar to the LS, the X 9-degree model has PWR-BRIDGE weighting positioned low & forward for reduced spin and increased speed. The 10.5 degree X driver features no PWR-BRIDGE with the weight moved to the back of the head for added launch and forgiveness.
- If you are wanting lower-launch & spin in a traditional profile, the 9-degree DS-ADAPT X Driver is the model for you.
- If you are wanting added launch & spin in a traditional profile, the 10.5-degree DS-ADAPT X Driver is the model for you.

DS-ADAPT MAX-K Driver
This model is the newest addition to the COBRA driver lineup, joining a number of other manufacturers, this driver boasts 10k MOI which helps to deliver massive amounts of forgiveness and consistency. With a slightly oversized profile, this is the highest MOI of the COBRA drivers, this model is for players that are looking for consistency and a straighter ball-flight.

DS-ADAPT X Fairway Wood
The X Model is designed for versatile shot making & plenty of forgiveness to make your long game more consistent. Providing the best combination of fast ball speeds & forgiveness of the fairway woods, this model makes use of a mid-to-forward PWR-BRIDGE to reduce spin and allow for increased playability and higher launch. This model is slightly shallower than the LS to promote higher launch and more spin.

DS-ADAPT MAX Fairway Wood
The MAX Model features tunable draw-bias & unrivalled stability to inspire maximum confidence from the fairway or off the tee. The most forgiveness of the DS-ADAPT range, this fairway wood features two discrete, moveable weights.
- Heavier weight in the heel = added slice correction.
- Heavier weight in the back = added stability.
