Custom Build

Club Customisation

Our Custom Builder lets you personalise your clubs online by selecting the components and specifications that best suit your swing, preferences and playing style. From your driver through to your wedges, you can customise every detail and order clubs built to your exact requirements.

Depending on the brand and model, you can customise a wide range of specifications, including:

  • Shaft model and flex
  • Grip type and size
  • Club length
  • Loft and lie adjustments
  • Left or right-handed options
  • Iron set composition
  • Mix-and-match iron combinations
  • Premium shaft and grip upgrades

Available options vary between manufacturers and products.

Whether you already know your specifications or have recently completed a custom fitting, our Custom Builder makes it easy to order clubs exactly the way you want them.

Build golf clubs that are made for your game, not the average golfer.

Build Times

Custom-built clubs take longer than standard stock products, as they are individually assembled by the manufacturer.

Lead times vary depending on:

  • Brand and model
  • Component availability
  • Selected shafts and grips
  • Manufacturer production schedules

We'll provide an estimated lead time when your order is placed and keep you informed if anything changes.

Changes, Cancellations & Returns

If you need to make changes to your custom build, please contact us as soon as possible.

There is a short period before your order enters production where changes may be possible. Once the manufacturer has started building your clubs, modifications or cancellations will no longer be available.

Because custom-built clubs are manufactured specifically to your requested specifications, they generally cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded for change of mind.

If your custom-built product arrives faulty or doesn't match the specifications you ordered, please contact us and we'll work with the manufacturer to resolve the issue.

Custom Fitting

The Fitting

Your fitting is a one-on-one session with one of our experienced club fitters and typically takes around 60 minutes.

To help you get the most from your fitting, we recommend:

  • Bringing your current clubs.
  • Wearing your usual golf shoes if possible.
  • Completing the pre-fitting questionnaire before you arrive.
  • Arriving a few minutes early for your appointment.

Your current equipment provides an important benchmark and helps us compare performance throughout the fitting.

During your fitting, we'll:

  • Discuss your current game and goals.
  • Analyse your swing using industry-leading launch monitor technology.
  • Compare different club heads, shafts and grips.
  • Review your performance data.
  • Recommend the best equipment and specifications for your swing.

At the end of your fitting, you'll receive personalised recommendations based on real performance data, not guesswork.

Fitting Options & Cost

We offer a range of fitting experiences to suit your needs, including:

  • Driver, Fairway & Hybrid Fittings
  • Iron Set Fittings
  • Putter Fittings*
  • Beginner Package
  • Full Set Fittings (available by contacting your local store)

*Putter fittings are available at selected locations only.

Custom Club Fittings are $100 for a 1-hour session.

If you purchase the clubs recommended during your fitting, the $100 fitting fee is waived, making your fitting complimentary.

Purchase Obligation

There is no obligation to purchase after your fitting.

The purpose of your session is to identify the equipment that best suits your game. If you decide to purchase, we will order your clubs to your exact specifications. If you would prefer to think about it, you are welcome to do so. Your personalised recommendations and quote remain valid for the period specified on your fitting report.

Rescheduling & Cancellations

If you're unable to attend your appointment, you can reschedule or cancel using the link in your booking confirmation email.

We ask that you provide as much notice as possible. Current booking guidelines request:

Trade-Ins

Trading Equipment

Whether you're replacing a single club or investing in a completely new set, trading in your old equipment is a simple way to reduce the cost of your upgrade while giving your clubs a second life.

Trade-ins are available at selected The House of Golf stores and are offered at the discretion of the Store Manager.

If your local store offers trade-ins, the process is simple:

  1. Bring your clubs into the store for assessment.
  2. Our team will inspect the condition and eligibility of your equipment.
  3. If accepted, we'll provide you with a trade-in valuation.
  4. If you choose to proceed, your trade-in value can be applied towards the purchase of eligible new equipment.

As trade-ins are assessed on a case-by-case basis, acceptance isn't guaranteed. We recommend contacting your preferred store before visiting to confirm whether they currently offer trade-in services and to discuss the equipment you'd like to trade.

Trade-In Assessment

We accept a wide range of golf equipment, including:

  • Drivers.
  • Fairway woods.
  • Hybrids.
  • Irons.
  • Wedges.
  • Putters.

Trade-in eligibility varies depending on the brand, model, age and condition of the equipment.

Value Determined

Trade-in values are based on several factors, including:

  • Brand and model.
  • Age of the equipment.
  • Overall condition.
  • Market demand.
  • Completeness of the set, where applicable.

Our team will inspect your clubs and provide a no-obligation valuation.

Using Trade-In Credit

Once your trade-in has been accepted, your credit can be used towards eligible purchases, including:

  • New golf clubs.
  • Custom Build orders.
  • Equipment recommended during a Custom Fitting.

Trade-in credit must be used at the time of the transaction and cannot be exchanged for cash.
